I have some geekish and non-geekish items to clear out (to make room for more of course), so I’ve added an auction section to The Geek Site.  I’ll post again once I have items listed.  In the meantime, check out http://thegeeksite.com/buyme and feel free to sell your own items if you so desire.  I don’t charge listing fees or make money off of other peoples’ sales.  What you sell your item for is what you get paid, no hidden fees or charges.  Try to get a deal like that on eBay.

As if coming across a lion on your daily commute wasn’t terrifying enough already, now they’re wielding machetes.

After a week of much needed R & R, it’s back to the grindstone tomorrow.  We arrived home safely this afternoon to the delight(?) of our cats.

The trip was delightful.  Fantastic food.  Good friends.  Reunions.

I have a LiveJournal page, a MySpace page, and a Facebook page. Needless to say, it’s a bitch to try to keep them all updated. So I decided, to hell with them all, I’ll create a blog on TheGeekSite.com.

Okay, I won’t go so far as to say, “to hell with them all,” but I will use TheGeekSite.com as my primary blog from here on out.

My goal is to develop a means to automatically replicate my posts to TheGeekSite.com to my LiveJournal and MySpace pages so that those pages stay current as well (Facebook is fun for playing around, but it doesn’t work for me as a blog site).

In the meantime, I’ll post links on those sites back to this blog so my friends, family, colleagues, and anyone curious can check in from time to time and make sure I’m still alive. Who knows, maybe this will take off and I’ll start posting regularly.

I’ve been using LiveJournal and MySpace for a few years and just can’t seem post on a regular basis. So, I’m going to give my own blog a shot. The way I look at it, since I’ve invested the time and money in setting up the website, I will be more likely to take the time to update my blog.

Let’s see how it goes.
